Wolf Tree is the small housing cooperative where we live! Our generous housemates (Mara, Molly, Lucia & Nico) agreed to let us host our wedding at home. We have a website if you’d like to learn more: wolftreecoop.org
“Wolf tree” is a forestry term for a large, old tree that once grew out in the open before the forest grew up around it. Older than the surrounding forest, wolf trees’ broad branching structure provide habitat for critters. These legacy trees serve as a reminder of our landscape’s dynamism - an emblem of the commingling past, present, and future.

Your presence at our wedding and in our lives is such a stupendous gift! We have no expectation of other gifts beyond that.
If you would really like to give us something, we have made a registry with a few items we would most appreciate, as well as an option to contribute towards our honeymoon (planning for Santa Fe in 2025!), and some organizations whose work is meaningful to us. Our registry can be found here: https://withjoy.com/laura-and-micah/registry
We also will always be touched by the gift of your words (on a card, for example) or anything else that is personally meaningful!

Activities:
Old Furnace State Park in Danielson, CT - just over the CT state line from our house, this is where Micah goes running!
Apple picking! We haven’t done this yet in RI, so let us know where you go and how you would rate the apples on a scale of 1-5. Mid-September is prime apple season here.
Logee's Plants in Danielson, CT - plant store specializing in unusual indoor plants. They have a network of interconnected glass greenhouses you can wander through; it feels like being in a botanical garden!
Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, RI - another place we haven't been (at least, not as adults), but friends in the area for longer say it's lovely!
Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT - a 45 min drive from Providence, but can attest that it is a 10/10 bonanza of amazing underwater creatures
Food in Providence
Tallulah’s Taqueria
Aleppo Sweets
Kabob & Curry
KNEAD Donuts
Food outside of Providence
Shady Acres in Foster, RI - this is our local diner!
We-Lik-It Ice Cream - This is across the state line in CT, but they have very good ice cream, as well as cows and a donkey (!!). This is Laura's favorite local(ish) ice cream spot, being about halfway between home & Yale-Myers Forest where she works.
Two Dogs Coffee in Danielson, CT - Locally roasted coffee in a sweet little spot in downtown Danielson, where Micah works.
Brooklyn Country View Restaurant in Brooklyn, CT - breakfast & lunch oriented spot with absolutely enormous portions and lots of houseplants! Can get very busy during peak weekend hours, leading to long wait times.
